Eight weeks in Crediton for Nadine Graf

In October 2014 during a Twinning Weekend in Crediton's Twin Town of Avranches, Nadine Graf a 19 year old from Avranches' German Twin Town of Korbach, met with some of the Crediton delegation. This meeting led to Nadine being invited to spend some time in Crediton to help improve her English prior to her starting a University Course in Germany later in 2015.

Nadine arrived on March 2 2015 and has been staying with Valerie and Peter Brewer. During her time in Crediton Nadine has been spending time at the Crediton Courier Office which is particularly useful as she hopes to have a career in journalism in the future. She has a 'blog' on the Courier website which contains some interesting articles written during her stay and is well worth looking at. To make full use of her time Nadine has been helping in the Hospiscare Shop in the High Street and also providing support at the Age Concern Centre in Deep Lane.

Nadine has had the opportunity to visit many places in Devon and Cornwall as well as experience aspects of Crediton.

The blog she has written on the Courier Website includes items on her visit to Sandford Orchards Cider Factory, CODS recent production of Oklahoma, spending time with the Community Transport Service, comparing some of the differences between Devon and Cornwall, some aspects of how Easter is celebrated in Germany and her time with the two local charities she has been helping.

Nadine will be leaving Crediton at the end of April and after a further period working as a Thomas Cook Representative she will return to Germany to start her University Course.

We wish her good luck and success in her future life, it has been a pleasure getting to know you.
