MP MEL Stride has visited two new start-up businesses in Crediton within a few doors of each other in the High Street.
Roem Clothing and Vagabonds Milk Shake Bar were established in the last two months and are helping to add a new vibrancy to the High Street.
Both new enterprises are the creations of young entrepreneurs.
Roem Clothing was set up by Ross Anderson and offers a wide variety of designer labels at very competitive prices.
Vagabonds Milk Shake Bar serves a range of delicious milkshakes using ice cream flavours and sweets as ingredients.
Owner Nicole Flanagan is also planning to launch a range of American sweets, candy and sodas in October.
Speaking after his visits Mel said: "Both of these businesses are a great tribute to their founders' hard work and commitment. They bring very interesting new offerings to the high street and they deserve to succeed. I wish them all the very best."
