A MOTORCYCLIST has died, and a man been taken to hospital with serious injuries, after a crash north-west of Tiverton.
Police were called to the collision between a car and motorcycle at Batsworthy Cross near Rackenford just before 12.46pm on Saturday, April 20.
The motorcyclist, a 34-year-old man from the London area riding a Triumph motorcycle, died at the scene.
A 20-year-old man from the Exeter area, who was driving a silver VW Golf, was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A passenger in the car sustained minor injuries.
“Local officers as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene and completed a forensic examination,” a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said.
“Once completed, the road was re-opened as soon as possible.”
