JENNY Newbery, one of the part-time drivers of the Age Concern Crediton minibus, organised a prize draw that took place at a bingo evening held at Newton St Cyres Parish Hall on September 2.

Jenny persuaded and cajoled businesses and acquaintances to donate prizes to be auctioned that evening and the result was a magnificent £274.20, which Jenny then gave to Age Concern Crediton.

Unsurprisingly, the charity is very grateful to Jenny and to all those who supported her, as the donation will help fund the services provided to the elderly in Crediton and district.
