A TOTAL of 10 bags of good quality clothing and another 20 filled Christmas shoe boxes have been delivered to Hugh Scudder of Christian Response to Eastern Europe, which delivers the items to children and families in need in Moldova, one of the poorest countries in Eastern Europe.

Margaret Tucker and Biffo Holland from Crediton collected the items and shoe boxes.

Margaret explained that so far this year, more than 50 bags of clothing and bedding and around 100 shoe boxes have gone from Crediton to Hugh Scudder’s collection warehouse in Exmouth.

A lorry with essentials including the clothing usually goes from Exmouth in August, and the shoe boxes in late November. Margaret thanks everyone for their support, and to Biffo for taking the items to Exmouth.

Hugh Scudder, an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Dawlish, was recently awarded a Rotary Community Champion award for his work with Christian Response to Eastern Europe.
