CREDITON Arts Centre and the Town Team continue their series of music presentations “Share in the Square” this weekend with performances on Friday and Saturday.
Previous weekends have seen excellent turnouts to see some standout performances from the likes of “The Woodmen”, Julian Wild, “Spin 2”, “The Moonshine Serenaders”, Pete Mason, Andrew Vaccari and Mark Mason, “The Triffles”, Pete Mathews, David Treadaway, Anita Munson and Lisa Rowe and Treehouse.
Friday, August 7 sees the return of local favourites “Etchechuria” and “The Saga Louts”, while on Saturday, August 8, singer-songwriter Tony Miller appears alongside Shobrooke duo Dave and Caroline Gooding and, appearing for the first time, acapella harmony trio “The Briars”.
Later in the month will see more diverse performances including a day of “Moon Jazz”, a performance in aid of the Second Sight charity hosted by the Richards family from Coleford, performances by Poetic Licence, a comedy day hosted by “Comedy Suits and Piano” in the Square, a day of piano performances curated by the “Music Makers”.
In September, Pete Hamilton from Crediton Arts Centre will present his new adaptation of the Italian folk tale “Fearless Jack”, complete with giant puppets.
Saturday, August 22 will see the return of Busk It!, when musicians play up and down the High Street and in the Town Square between 10am and 1pm.
This year will be a little different as there will be no performances inside shops or cafes, so all performances will be in alleyways and wide areas of pavement to allow for social distancing. The event is generously supported by Crediton Town Council.
