THE Family Fun Day and Vintage Rally, organised by Morchard Bishop Playing Fields Association and held on Saturday, August 6, raised the magnificent sum of £3,504,98, which will help maintain the Playing Field to its present high standard.

During the afternoon, there was a balloon race and subsequently three tickets were returned by the cut-off date of September 1. The first prize of £25 went to Miss Phoebe Stoyle, whose balloon reached Greatham, near Petersfield, Hampshire. The second prize of £10 went to Mrs Tryphena Hancock, whose balloon reached Portland, Dorset and the third prize of £8 went to Mrs Maddy Tarrant, whose balloon reached Axe Cliff Golf Club, near Seaton.

Many thanks go to everyone who took part.

Karin Moffett
