DO you enjoy playing board games?

If the answer is yes, you might be interested in joining Copplestone Board Games Club.

Isaac, who is a student at Queen Elizabeth’s School in Crediton, started the club in April and is now running sessions on the second Monday of each month in Copplestone Methodist Church Hall.

Each month there are more than 40 games to choose from, ranging from family games like Uno, Scrabble and Yahtzee, to more complex ones such as Taverns of Tiefenthal, 7 Wonders, and Port Royal.

His mum, Helen explained: “Isaac has loved board games since he was very young, even designing and making several of his own, and is enjoying sharing his enthusiasm with others in the community.”

Everyone is welcome to go along to play from 7pm to 9pm, and the next games night is on Monday, November 14.  Future dates are Monday, December 12 and Monday, January 9.

People of all ages, from 10 to over 60, have been going along to enjoy their favourites as well as trying new games.

Helen said that some people go along with a group but others find people to play with when they arrive.

She added: “Everyone is very friendly and Isaac is always on-hand to recommend games and explain their rules!”

Hot/cold drinks are included in the entry fee of £3 and homemade cakes will also be on sale.
