THE wedding between Molly Baxter of Chittlehamholt and Roger Pincombe of Chulmleigh took place at St Mary’s Church, Cheldon, on Saturday, May 20.
The bride, Molly, is the daughter of Felicity Baxter and her ‘groom, Roger, is the younger son of Terry and Jill Pincombe of Higher Sheepsbyre, Chulmleigh.
The bride wore a full length gown in figured white satin, with a white fur jacket for the evening, and carried a bouquet of fragrant country flowers, which was made by her mother.
She was attended by the couple’s daughter Maisie, and Jessica Millman, and the pageboys were Reuban Pincombe, their young son, with Lucas Baxter and Joseph Millman. The Best man was Matthew Bedford.
As part of the wedding ceremony both mothers lit candles and readings were given by Felicity Baxter (mother) and Florence Millman (brides sister).
The witnesses were Jodie and Marcia Baxter, brides brother and sister-in-law. During the signing of the register Sian Medland sang Amazing Grace.
The service was taken by the Rev Adrian Wells and the organist was John Harris.
The church was decorated, by the bride’s mother, in miniature milk churns filled with country wild flowers.
The bellringers, who came from Kings Nympton, were Alison Dyer, Karen Bowden, Paul Mckenna and Felicity Baxter.
After the wedding everyone travelled to Greendown Farm, Chittlehampton, for the “after wedding party”, which included a display by the morris men from Torrington and a hog roast for the many guests, all in the very large barn, which was beautifully decorated.
The couple have made their home at Kings Nympton.
