A TRUE Celebration of Mid Devon Life, the Mid Devon Show will take place at Knightshayes, Tiverton, from 9am to 5.30pm on Saturday, July 23.

Marquees are already going up and the organisers promise an eclectic mix of breathtaking entertainment, food, shopping, music, horticulture and farm life.

Colin Nation, Show Organiser, said it promises to be a fantastic Show.

“We have a packed main ring programme and we have expanded three areas, the music programme, the number of classic vehicles and also the dog show.

“We have steam engines, more than 60 vintage tractors and the farrier is always popular.

“We will have more than 1,000 animals at the Show, there are more than 900 sheep entries and 200 cattle entries as well as the pigs and goats.

“Sadly due to avian flu we can’t have ducks or chicken.

“There will be more than 400 traders and you can buy everything from a dog lead to a new tractor!

“The food hall and the Magpie marquees are full with traders.

“There will be the farm demonstrations and also this year the Tiverton Banksy, a mural artist, will create a mural while at the Show which we hope to auction in aid of our charity this year which is Devon Air Ambulance.

“The Mid Devon Show is a real community event and it is a great day for the whole community to enjoy.

“From the e-ticket sales we have found out that people are travelling from near and far to come to the Show.

“We have had ticket sales from the local area but also from Manchester, Liverpool, Ireland and Austria.

“It puts Mid Devon in the spotlight.”
