Mid Devon's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm April 13 to 6am April 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 exit slip road - lane closure leading to partial closure of roundabout preventing access to A361 westbound, for structure maintenance, diversion via A38, B3181, S View Road, Station Road, Willand Road, High Street, Post Hill, Blundell's Road, A396, diversion for M5 northbound, from A38 via M5, junction 28 and return.

M5, from 8pm April 18 to 4am April 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 exit and entry slip lane closures for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
