MID Devon Cubs recently enjoyed a glorious weekend near Dunsford, with the weather ideal for camping.

Karen Morris (ADC) and her team rolled out a back to basics camp skills programme introducing the Cubs to new skills such as lashing and knots, campfires and cooking and woggle making.

Due to the warm weather most Cubs enjoyed a dip in the river and the day ended with a good old fashioned campfire with skits (short plays) learned and performed by the Cubs and the usual campfire songs led by Paul Charlton (Deputy CC) and his team of Devon Explorer Scouts.
