A FIRE crew from Danes Castle, Exeter, rescued a man from a vehicle in floodwater at Dunsford, near Exeter during the afternoon of Tuesday, January 20.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue received a call to attend at 3.54pm and on arrival found one car afloat in flood water on the public highway.
The male driver was found to be on the roof of the car.
Fire and rescue service personnel rigged in water rescue safety equipment (buoyancy aids) and rescued the casualty from the roof of the car using two flood suits and two water throw lines.
The casualty was uninjured.
The rescue was concluded before 7pm.
