MRS Margaret Phillips from Sandford was at Buckingham Palace, in London, last month for a Royal Garden Party in recognition of her charity fundraising.

Margaret was accompanied by Mrs Shuana Miles (former chairman of Sandford Parish Council).

The weather for the afternoon was good. HM The Queen was accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and several other members of the Royal Family.

After an overnight stay in London, a tour of London on a Big Red Bus, it was back home again to life in Sandford after a “very memorable visit”.
