CREDITON and District Swimming Club held its annual presentation evening on Saturday, January 17, at the Boniface Centre, Crediton.

The club championships were held in November 2014 and the prizes were presented for these events together with the special annual awards. The event was very well attended and a disco was held afterwards for all to enjoy.

Age group trophies: 10 and under – boys: 1 James Dodge, 2 James Horwell; girls: 1 Laura Cooper, 2 Katherine Prosser, 3 Bryer Shears; medal winners - Millie Crosby, Chloe Sibley, Ella Grigg, Thanushri Manoharan, Katie Baptiste, Maya Vaughan, Mala Fawsett, Rhianna Pincott and Megan Wallace.

11 years: boys - 1 Jem Fawssett, 2 Edward Overton; girls: 1 Freya Jones, 2 Bryony Wood, 3 Chloe Eyles.

12 years: boys: - 1 Nathaniel Scarborough, 2 Mattie Horwell, 3 Isaac Coven; medal winners - Joseph Dodge, Laurie Walker and Tom Reader; girls – 1 Josie Sanders, 2 Cydney Mackenzie, 3 Lucy Pincombe; medal winners - Samantha Bulled and Sacha Manners.

13 years: boys – 1 Jake Allman, 2 Andrew Millar, 3 Tom Stoyle; medal winner - Callum Sibley; girls – 1 Hannah Jones, 2 Lettie Cowling, 3 Julie-Anne Hooper; medal winners - Emma Daly, Victoria Cordwent and Morgan Wallace.

14 years: boys – 1 James Hudson, 2 Tom Mann, 3 Sam Scoughall-Knight; girls - 1 Grace Newport-Tucker, 2 Rebecca Mather, 3 Miryam Ley; girls – 1 Chelsea Pincott.

16 and 17 years: boys – 1 Daniel Mather, 2 Charlie Newport-Tucker; girls – Verity Potts.

Men's seniors and masters – 1 Darren Beer, 2 Matt Hocking, 3 Rob Brimacombe; medal winner - Ian Jones; ladies seniors and masters - 1 Emma Hocking, 2 Sara Rolle. Men's adults – 1 Neil Potts; ladies adults – 1 Laura Bowyer.

Special trophies: 14 and under 1500m – boys - 1 James Hudson; girls under 800m – 1 Rebecca Mather. Verrier Trophy – relay team – Daniel Mather, Ben Limon, Lucy Pincombe, Jess Hanneman. Lifesaving award – Caroline Quick and Jenny Sanders. Male swimmer of the quarter – Nathaniel Scarborough. Female swimmer of the quarter – Hannah Jones. Development squad swimmer of the year – Thanushri Manoharan.

Junior squad swimmer of the year – Cydney Mackenzie. Masters squad swimmer of the year – Daniel Mather. Male most improved swimmer – Jake Allman. Female most improved swimmer – Chloe Eyles. Chairman's award – Andy Coles and Christine Furze.
