I AM sure the traffic on Exeter Road has increased over the years, and with it the traffic fumes.

I would not want to live there: but of course, I don't.

Houses on main roads may be bought for a lower price (or rent) and thus carry a lower council tax.

That's the trade off you make for living there. Consequently I fail to see why other taxpayers should be expected to bail out those who buy cheap, and then complain about their living conditions!

Maybe the new link road will help, but I doubt it.

Better to have widened the Charlotte Street/East Street corner and painted in a turn-right-lane so the rest of the traffic continues to flow on to the High Street.

The remaining £4.999 million of Tesco's bung could have done a wonderful job on the Square...we shall see.
