WHEN the Lions Club of Crediton and District made the draw for its enormous chocolate Easter egg at the Farmers’ Market last week (April 15), it was a market trader who was the winner.
Jez Pitman from Wellington, Somerset, is a regular at the market selling quality free range pork from Moonbeams Farm.
They are regulars at Crediton, Cullompton and Exeter markets and six weeks ago opened a shop at their farm.
Jez bought the ticket at the previous week’s market. He said the big egg would be a surprise for his four years-old son next morning.
Crediton Lions had 21 eggs at different places all to raise funds for ELF and Lions support in the community.
Handing the egg in its basket to Jez, Lions president Eric Parkes thanked everyone who had supported their Easter egg draw.
