A LORRY driver was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford) after his vehicle was hit from behind by another lorry travelling in the same direction on the A377 near Copplestone on Tuesday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following the road traffic collision at about 10am.
Fire crews from Crediton, North Tawton and Exeter attended as well as an ambulance.
Police controlled traffic to enable both of the commercial vehicles to be driven off the highway at Eppfields, between Copplestone and Morchard Road. Both vehicles were travelling in the direction of Morchard Road.
No-one was trapped or seriously injured but one driver was taken to hospital with suspected neck injuries.
Fire crews made the vehicles safe and administered first aid until the arrival of the ambulance.
