AT a recent celebration dinner held at Il Casita in Crediton, five Crediton Guiders were given long service awards.

Two Guiders, Marilyn England and Julie Chapple, have completed 20 years, both as leaders with Rainbows.

Linda Tonkin and Jill Taylor have completed 10 years, and Celia Oxlade five years, all as leaders with Brownies.

The awards were presented by Christina Morgan, Tiverton Division Commissioner, who thanked all the ladies for giving their time over many years, allowing girls in the Crediton area to enjoy what Girlguiding has to offer.

Crediton District Girlguiding was also delighted to receive a donation of £100 from Crediton Trefoil Guild towards improvements at Crediton District Headquarters.

The cheque was presented to Jill Taylor, Crediton District Commissioner, by Stella Still, Chair of Crediton Trefoil.
