A DIVERSE group of local authors will once again be helping Crediton Community Bookshop draw another year’s successful trading to a close by taking part in the book shop’s second Local Writers’ Fair running alongside its Annual General Meeting.

Local poets Lawrence Sail (“Walking Dreams”) and Ian Beech (“On the Road to Ollantaytambo”) will also be reading from their latest work at the AGM and afterwards in the bookshop, a real treat for fans of performance poetry.

All are welcome at the event, which takes place in Crediton Congregational Church, 100 High Street, Crediton, from 10am on Saturday, December 5. The AGM will start at 11am.

CCB manager Dee Lalljee says she is also delighted to announce that three popular children’s authors, Claire Barker (“Knitbone Pepper”) and Dan Metcalf (“Lottie Lipton”) will be holding readings and signings during the run up to Christmas.
