MICHAEL and Tim Anderson gave their family a double celebration recently.

The boys, the sons of Susie Bostock, of Wistaria Dental Practice, Crediton, both reached a major milestone in their respective careers.

Michael finished his flying training and received his "Wings" as an Observer in the Fleet Air Arm at a "Wings Parade" at RNAS Culdrose on June 26 and is now on active service.

Tim has this month qualified as a doctor from Cardiff University.

His graduation was on July 8 and he is now starting his career in the Royal Navy.

His first two years will be as a House Officer at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.

Both boys attended Queen Elizabeth's Community College, Crediton, from 1994.

Michael went to Aberystwith University in 1998 and left with a Master's degree in International Politics and Strategic Studies before joining the Royal Navy in 2005.

Tim left QECC in 2001 and had two "gap" years before starting at Cardiff University and was awarded a Royal Naval Medical Cadetship in 2007.
