MORE than 150 companies from across Devon are expected to attend a special business day focused on achieving greater growth next month.

The Growth Day run by Fast Track to Growth is being held at Rockbeare Manor near Exeter on Wednesday, April 18.

The day will be packed with business advice, expertise and support with workshops, presentations and one-to-one sessions on topics including social media for growth in 2018, cloud, apps and productivity, useful tax and compliance tips for start-up businesses, GDPR, brand protection, developing a winning culture for growth and being investment ready.

The speakers are from organisations including PKF Francis Clark, Astley Media, Barclays, Aptus UK, Stephens Scown LLP, Devon County Council, Sampson Hall, Logo Creative Partners, Commissioning HR, Cosmic and BBX.

Councillor Stuart Barker, Devon County Council Cabinet Member for Economy and Growth, said: “The Fast Track to Growth programme does exactly what Devon County Council is aiming to promote - the growth of local businesses in the county.

"Devon is an ideal place to establish a business and to expand. We’re proud to back the initiative especially as it offers an opportunity for companies to receive support and gain expert knowledge from other local businesses. I’m sure businesses that attend the event will get a lot out of it.”

Businesses can sign up to the free workshops and one-to-one sessions in advance via the website: www.ft2g.co.uk .

They can also get to connect with other like-minded organisations and enjoy a free lunch at the all-day event.
