LILAH, formerly at Landscore Primary School, who won the Lions Club of Crediton and District Peace Poster competition also went on to win the National Award.

Lilah and her family along with Lion Eric Parkes and Lion President Anne Whitehead, plus Sue and John Whitehouse, travelled to the House of Commons in London for the presentation.

About 200 people were present.

Just a few days later Lilah and her family attended the SW Lions Convention at Croyde Bay where she received the District Prize and trophy.

Her poster depicted a theme which was Together as One.

It was the first time that there had been a Crediton National winner.

Lion Eric also recently received an award for his 20 years’ service administering the competition locally and in the district.
