THE licensing of a new priest for the Crediton Mission Community has had to be postponed.

The Rev Preb Matthew Tregenza, Team Rector, Crediton and Upper Creedy Valley Team Ministry, in a letter to those due to attend, wrote: “Unfortunately, the licensing of The Revd. Fran Allison which was due to take place on Monday, October 19 at 7pm at the church of St Thomas of Canterbury, Lapford has had to be postponed.

“This is very disappointing news for everyone involved, especially with all the preparations that went into planning Monday's service and reception and is due to the fact that some of the pre-appointment checks have not yet come back.

“Fran's licensing will be rescheduled, in due course, and we will be in touch to let you know the new date.”
