AS part of Devon National Garden Scheme, Lewis Cottage, Spreyton will be opening its gates to welcome visitors tomorrow, Saturday, May 29, Sunday 30 and Monday 31, from 11am to 5pm.

The four acre garden, located on a South West facing slope, uses informal planting and natural formal structures to create a garden that reflects the souls of those who garden in it.

The garden is an incredibly personal space that is a joy to share and has evolved, primarily over the last 27 years, harnessing and working with the natural landscape.

Features and attractions include a cricket pitch, rose garden, large natural dew pond, woodland walks, bog garden, winter garden, hot and cool herbaceous borders, a fruit and vegetable garden, picking garden, outdoor poetry reading room and a plant nursery selling plants mostly propagated from the garden.

Entry for adults is priced at £4.50 with children free.

Tickets can be booked online at: ngs.org.uk/view-garden/25097 or just turn up on one of the open days.
