CREDITON Hospital continues to go from strength to strength with the quality of service it provides for patient care and comfort, continually introducing more equipment and facilities in order to offer comprehensive treatments in its clinics and in the community so as to avoid as far as possible the necessity of patients having to travel to Exeter or further afield.

To quote a patient with very serious health issues: “I attend the bowel and bladder clinic and the dietician clinic and I have physiotherapy and occupational therapy at home. Lovely people who help and listen to concerns.

“They are just a just a phone call away if you need advice. If I had to be driven to Exeter we would struggle with parking. Crediton Hospital has excellent, no charge parking.

“It’s lovely to walk into reception and be greeted by the very friendly staff. I have a friend who can no longer drive and attends all the clinics he needs to at Crediton Hospital.

“The NHS understands the issue of booking and paying for taxis so does everything possible to treat him in Crediton and save the trek to Exeter or, more often, Whipton.”

When the NHS is unable to finance the Hospital’s requirements the League of Friends steps in and does its best to provide the necessary funding.

However, we cannot do this indefinitely without the help of the public, so if you feel able to make a donation, however small, or remember us in your will, both The League of Friends and Crediton Hospital, plus present and future patients would be extremely grateful.
