ON Friday, March 25, my family and I were walking past Boots on Crediton High Street, when a huge tree trunk was thrown from a passing lorry.
The tree trunk narrowly missed my grandchildren and I and crashed into Boots.
The tree trunk needed three men to lift it onto a council truck, and we reckoned it weighed around half-a-tonne.
It could quite easily have killed my grandchildren, aged five and three, if it had hit them.
