ST PETER’S Church at Zeal Monachorum will hold its Advent Fayre at the Village Hall on Saturday, November 26 from 2.30pm.

Those who go along are promised an afternoon of fun and fundraising with all the usual stalls including a chance to purchase Margaret Harris’ legendary Christmas cakes.

Games will include the chance to win a signed copy of War Horse, kindly donated by Michael Morpurgo.

Also there will be a chance to win a large limited edition of a Winnie the Pooh soft toy to commemorate his 90th birthday, donated by Nick Reed, designer for Walt Disney.

During the afternoon Father Christmas will be in attendance and there will be an opportunity for children and adults alike to sit and hear the special Winnie the Pooh story which was written especially for the Queen to celebrate her 90th birthday.

Delicious refreshments will be served during the afternoon and of course, there will be a grand draw.

All profits raised will go towards St Peter’s Church funds.
