MID DEVON residents are being asked to have their final say on a document which will have an important bearing on planning policy for Crediton - and the whole district!
Crediton residents are being urged to attend a public exhibition at the Council Chamber, The Council offices, Crediton, on Thursday, October 22 to question planning officers about the proposals. The exhibition will be open from 11am to 7pm.
The public is asked to make comments on the plan, but these must be made in writing and received on or before November 17, 2009.
Proposals for future housing, other development and infrastructure in the Crediton area make up one chapter of the Mid Devon Local Development Framework called Allocations and Infrastructure Development Plan Document.
Crediton is required to fulfill, on average, a number of objectives. These include 25 marketable dwellings, 10 affordable dwellings and 2,000 sq metres of employment gross floorspace each year.
Mid Devon's proposed submission development plan, which was published this month, includes suggestions to meet these objectives.
