LAPFORD Victory Hall has been selected by RGB Building Supplies as a finalist in its Well Built Community Fund and it’s now down to a public vote to see if it’s chosen to receive £1,000 worth of building materials.
Built in 1919, the hall is used regularly by the local community for badminton, dog training classes, belly dancing lessons, horticultural society meetings, and much more.
If voted as the Community Fund winner, the hall will use the materials to refurbish the bathroom area, and provide a fully-equipped and accessible disabled bathroom.
Lapford Victory Hall is up against Torquay and District Cats Protection and Halwill Parish Hall.
Votes can be cast by visiting RGB’s Crediton branch during opening hours and placing a chip in the relevant box, by clicking the chosen group on the poll that will be at the top of RGB’s “Facebook” page, or by emailing: [email protected] and putting the name of the group being voted for in the subject line.
The vote will take place from Monday, November 27 until midnight on Sunday, December 10. Votes cast outside those dates will not be counted. Only one vote per person via each method of voting will be counted. The winner of the £1,000 worth of building materials will be the group that receives the most votes.
