THE children in Year 3 and 4 at Landscore Primary School have been focusing on newspaper reports in their English lessons.
On Wednesday, June 30, the children discovered an alien spaceship had crash landed in the woodland area at the school and have all written newspaper reports to inform the people of Crediton about this.
Jenny Maddison, Team Leader - Team 2, Landscore Primary School, explained: "The children loved being journalists and threw themselves into the role with such enthusiasm!”
Extracts from the children’s reports read:
"During the start of school, the children were informed about an object in the woodland and the news started to spread." - Conor (Year 4).
"Miss Maddison burst through the door, shocking all the children. She said: ’I can’t believe what I just saw,’ she continued to shout, ’Go and look in the woodland.’
"When they got to the woodland the children discovered debris scattered everywhere. A strange object lay amongst the trampled flowers." - Esther (Year 3)
Frannie (Year 3) reported - "Miss Maddison’s class entered the woodland and saw lime green and orange goo everywhere.
"There were twinkling noises coming from all around and the remains of an alien spaceship in the left-hand corner of the woods. In the middle of the crater there was a destroyed silver ship and wire tangled in the dark green trees. There was police tape surrounding the ship and eyewitnesses report seeing a shimmering light beaming into the woodland hours before."
Matt (Year 3) said: "After over 10 intense hours the object was removed by the military for further investigation."
