A MEMORIAL football tournament and fun day will be held at Exmouth Football Club on Sunday, September 9.
It is being held in memory of Kim Baker, who had connections with the Crediton area.
Kate Collett-Hughes, explained: “Kim was my cousin and she died of ovarian cancer at Searle House in Exeter.
“I have organised the event to raise money in her memory for the charity, Hospiscare.
“Kim was from Tiverton, where she lived with her husband and son.
“Her mum lives in Copplestone and her brother, Jason Cliff, is originally from Crediton.”
She added: “As well as a five-a-side football tournament, there are lots of attractions for families which are all being supported by local businesses.
“They have donated sponsorship and raffle prizes.”
Kim said that the event will run from 12 noon until late and as well as the five-a-side football will include face painting, a bouncy castle, food and drink, ice creams, raffle, stalls, disco and bar.
