MID Devon residents can now recycle pots and pans in regular kerbside collections.

The district council trialled the idea in Willand and Uffculme earlier this year and has decided to make it permanent.

To recycle pots and pans, place them on top of your recycling bin as part of your normal collection.

Teflon-coated items will not be accepted and should instead be taken to a recycling centre.

“I am delighted to see an additional recycling stream coming into practice,” said Councillor Josh Wright (Lib Dem, Silverton), who is member of the council’s cabinet.

“Each household has a really important contribution to make in maximising our recycling rate and bringing real benefits to our district and community.”
