AVID reader, Julia Moxey (7) from Crediton has been awarded a certificate for reading 100 books on the Secret Book Quest challenge at Crediton Library.

The Secret Book Quest is a reading challenge which involves reading a set number of books to collect all the stickers, decipher the code, and win a special prize.

Julia enjoys reading books from the “Rainbow Grey” series by Laura Ellen Anderson and she has written and illustrated her own book based on the “Rainbow Fairy” series by Daisy Meadows, which she also enjoys.

She is a pupil at Hayward’s Primary School in Crediton where her favourite subject is Maths.

Julia’s favourite pastime is swimming and she also enjoys Marshall Arts, ballet and football, and is a member of the Brownies.

She has enjoyed reading the books in the challenge and talking to staff about them.

She has already started on her next challenge of reading 150 books.
