UNFORTUNATELY most people have some kind of dealings with cancer, with either themselves, relations or friends being affected.
This is certainly true for the staff at Jonathan Wood Vets in Crediton, as 12 months ago one of their valued and much respected colleagues Pauline Keenor, lost an untimely battle with breast cancer.
Pauline worked at the surgery for more than 10 years and was known and loved by many clients.
For this reason Head veterinary nurse Shelly Jefferies explains: "We will be holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning this year, to raise funds for this worthy charity.
"There will be lots of goodies available to have with your tea or coffee, as well as some lovely raffle prizes available.
"We will also be using this day to unveil our bench and plaque in memory of Pauline.
"We hope to see lots of people there and to raise funds for this worthy cause, between 9am and 4pm on Friday, September 30."
The event will take place at Jonathan Woods Vets at Barnstaple Cross, Crediton.
