ENTRIES are invited for "Race for Life 2009" events at Killerton House on Sunday, July 5 and at Westpoint Arena, Exeter on Sunday, July 19.
The annual race raises money for Cancer Research and competitors are encouraged to wear poignant messages on their backs remembering loved ones.
The 5K race can be run, jogged or walked and the atmosphere is always amazing and many of the women who take part are cancer survivors themselves, or are taking part in memory or celebration of a loved one whose life has been touched by cancer.
Hannah O'Donell, Race for Life Area Event Manager for Exeter explained: "We hope that everyone will accept our invitation to do something amazing by taking part in the Race for Life.
"Women of all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes join in and they motivate and inspire each other to complete the 5k course.
"Many simply walk round, chatting and having fun, but they all share the wonderful spirit of sisterhood and pride on the day."
Gloria Hunniford, Patron of Cancer Research UK's Race for Life said: "I know that for many women Race for Life holds a special place in their hearts and the determination and passion that is felt throughout the events creates an atmosphere that is truly special and inspiring for us all."
