ON her 10th birthday last month, Jasmine Hillan had 10 inches of her long hair cut at Nikki Blanchford hairdressers in Crediton in aid of the Little Princess Trust to support children suffering with cancer who need wigs.

Hairdresser Zoe Coupe did the deed and Jasmine was watched by her mum Lucy, her sister Lily (6) and her nanny, Les Wilkinson, as her hair was cut.

In addition, many donations were made by family and friends on-line and these have amounted to £668.75 with Gift Aid.

Landscore Primary School pupil Jasmine said she was amazed at how much was donated as her target was only £50.
