THE winner of the Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface "Young Photographer of the Year" competition was Jamie Woodland.

Jamie, a Year 8 student at Queen Elizabeth’s School’s, Barnfield campus, was presented with a certificate and £25 voucher by Reuben Miles of the Rotary Club.

Altogether, 10 students from schools, in the area, entered the competition and each submitted three photographs.

Reuben said: "It is the first time we have run the "Young Photographer of the Year" competition and we are pleased with the interest shown.

"We have supported many young people over the years with competitions in various categories including "Young Musician of the Year."

The winning entry was chosen by a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society.

Jamie was delighted to have won with his three photographs which included landscapes and sheep in a field.
