AS PART of the Crediton 2009 Festival, Jacksons have sponsored the "Crediton Crunch" a multi-terrain 10k run, which is open to both male and female runners.

The run has been organised by the Women's Running Network (WRN), who currently have 130 lady members in Crediton.

The "Crediton Crunch" will be held on Sunday, May 31, starting at Crediton RFC.

A group of employees from Jacksons have been working hard during training sessions led by the WRN coach Tina Lynch and assisted by WRN organiser Hélène Bond.

Dave Walters of Jacksons explained: "We were approached by Paul Evans, Chairman of Crediton 2009 Festival, who asked us to be involved in the Sports Festival.

"The idea of the run fits in with our "Fit for Life" initiative as well as raising our profile within the community."

The closing date for entries is Friday, May 15 (subject to a 350 runner limit).

The cost is £8 for licensed and £10 for unlicensed entrants.
