I HAVE great admiration for the Crediton Courier especially being able to go weekly now.
But when I have paid for this pleasure and open up the letters page and read the name at the bottom of the letter before reading it (I might add), I say to my husband here we go again - "sponsoring that woman to write more negativity".
Sponsor is the correct word in my mind - if we did not purchase the newspaper's Mrs Farley would have no-one to read such moaning and groaning.
Saying you will pay the Courier to print your comments that is just being pertinacious. We also have the prerogative to NOT purchase the Courier or Gazette until these papers see sense and give this lady and same old subject a rest in a dark recess.
My family has had to deal with many disabilities and serious illness. I too use a wheelchair due to peripheral neuropathy and have now been told I have early onset glaucoma - do you hear us moan and groan about it or write into the local "rag" to push our point across?
NO! We carry on regardless, quietly.
It is the quietest mouse that eats most cheese!
Make of life what you will. We only get to live it once and it is too short to keep reading your everlasting pessimism.
People who tell you to keep going are just adding fuel to the fire which is a good thing in the short-term but in the long-term the only thing to come out is animosity towards it all, which will do no-one any good.
