LANDSCORE School in Crediton welcomed more than 60 parents into classrooms on Thursday, March 14 to learn about maths teaching in school and how manipulatives are used to support mathematical understanding.
The parents initially spent time with their children in classes to experience first-hand what maths sessions are like in school.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the range of practical maths activities that were on offer. Parents then listened to a presentation which looked at the different ways the school uses mathematical equipment to support children’s understanding in maths.
This was the second maths event at Landscore and it was great to see so many parents and children enjoying learning together in the classroom.
