MORCHARD Bishop’s 38th Annual Flower and Produce Show was held in the Memorial Hall on Saturday, September 2.
As usual there was a magnificent display of vegetables, fruit and flowers as well as a large number of entries in the craft and household sections, with a special “Bake Off” prize sponsored by Morrisons.
Show Secretary, Richard Jackson, said that although some regular exhibitors had moved from the village, several newcomers had taken part in the Show with enthusiasm.
This year there was a new Award – The Colin Carrington Rosebowl. This had been bought by the Gardening Club Committee in memory of Colin Carrington who, for a good many years, was Chairman of Morchard Bishop Gardening Club and sadly died earlier this year.
