A LOCAL man will be running the Flora London Marathon later this month and is seeking sponsorship.
Ian Webber (38), who lives near Coldridge, intends to run the 26 mile route in aid of the St John Ambulance.
Ian, who works with the homeless in Exeter, hopes to achieve his eighth consecutive London marathon on April 26.
Ian sad he chose the charity because of its background of supporting many local community events for little recompense or reward.
Over the years Ian has raised more than £27,500 for various charities through sponsorship of his marathon runs and he hopes that this year his efforts will help him go through the £30,000 mark.
To help raise funds, Ian and his family and friends, will be holding a coffee morning at North Tawton Town Hall, tomorrow, Saturday, April 4.
The coffee morning, with stalls, will be from 10am to 11.30am and all are invited to attend.
