BOW’S Annual Hospiscare Event will be held at Bow Village Hall on Saturday, July 14 from 2pm.
There will be various stalls including cakes, books, bric-a-brac, various crafts, new goods and a raffle. A car boot sale will also be held in the car park priced at £5 per car (no booking necessary).
Tea and cakes will be available and admission is free.
All funds raised will go to the Crediton Friends of Hospiscare.
Hospiscare launched in 1982 with just two Exeter community nurses and massive community support which continues today.
The charity was started by Dr John Searle when he moved to Exeter and worked with the Bishop of Crediton to initiate a local hospice service.
In 1982 more than 400 people crowded into Exeter’s Guildhall when a £350,000 public appeal was launched to establish a community based nurse service covering six miles from the cathedral.
