A CHEQUE for £50 was presented to Crediton Memory Café by Anne Eddleston, a resident of Hillbrow Residential Care Home in Crediton.
The donation was raised at a successful Open Day held at Hillbrow Residential Care Home on June 17, to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday and National Care Home Open Day.
The care home manager, Shelia Gurr, said: "The residents decided that they would like to donate the proceeds from the raffle to the Memory Café."
Linda Brown of Crediton Station Tea Rooms and the organiser of the Memory Café said: "Hillbrow has always been very supportive of the Memory Café and they have donated resources in the past.
"The group will decide what they want to spend the money on.
"It could be art and crafts materials or big piece jigsaw puzzles - they will decide what they need most".
