THE Courier has received a number of complaints from motorists and pedestrians at the length of time the lights on the pedestrian crossing in Crediton High Street have been out of action.
It is believed that engineers have twice repaired the lights on a Friday morning, only for them to break down again the same afternoon.
A Devon County Council spokesman said on Monday: "We apologise for any inconvenience experienced due to the current problems with the pedestrian crossing in Crediton High Street.
"Our engineers have attended the site on several occasions but as yet have been unable to identify the source of the fault. The engineers will be on site again today and will continue their investigations to resolve this issue."
