IT will be no surprise to hear that a huge reduction in fundraising opportunities throughout the past 18 months has affected the income at Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) and it will take years to turn around the financial shortfall.

With this in mind, the charity is looking for new ways to fundraise, to ensure that it has the means available to maintain this life-saving service for the people of Devon and the South West well into the future and it wants to gain your views about how it might do that.

This summer, DAA is already being tasked to a higher number of missions throughout the county. Devon is busier than ever as Covid restrictions are relaxed which further increases the charity’s operating costs.

As an independent charity that receives no Government or NHS funding, DAA depends on the kindness and generosity of its supporters and local communities to fund its life-saving work. Without them, the service would not exist.

Sally Hilton, Head of Fundraising at Devon Air Ambulance said: “This survey is completely anonymous, and your answers won’t identify you as an individual.

"We really do appreciate your views as they will give us an insight into the opinions and preferences of those we serve in our local communities.

"We would be very grateful to anyone who is able to complete our short survey, which may influence our fundraising plans in the future.”
