LYN Bundey of Stevie B’s Bakery in Crediton has been raising funds for Angel Wings, which helps to support families through the loss of a baby or child.

Lyn gave up chocolate and cake for November raising more than £250 for Angel Wings. She has also been making angel-themed decorations and bracelets - 100 per cent of each sale will go to Angel Wings.

The non-profit organisation has a public group and private groups on "Facebook" to

support grieving families who have experienced the loss of a baby or child.

The organisation will send out, free-of-charge, a bereavement pack which includes small keepsakes for families, a pocket of love made from wedding dresses and most important, a certificate of life, acknowledging that every life matters from early miscarriage to the loss of an older child through accident or illness.

Over the last five years Angel wings has also funded nearly 100 cuddle cots, which are cribs that give parents extra precious time with their baby.

According to data from Sands stillborn and neonatal death charity, around 15 babies die before, during or soon after birth in the UK every day.

Christmas is a very difficult time for grieving families, but there are organisations on hand to offer support. For more information visit the websites: www.exetersands.org and: www.lullabytrust.org.uk .
