LOTS of people are wanted by Donna Statham to take part in a 25 mile walking feat for the NSPCC.

Donna, the NSPCC's local community fundraiser, said: "The HACK starts and finishes in the grounds of Bicton College in East Budleigh and walkers will get to enjoy views of the Jurassic coastline, the River Otter, Woodbury Common and numerous picturesque Devon villages during the circular route.

"We already have more than 200 people registered to take part and we hope double that on the day."

Money raised will go towards the Child's Voice Appeal to help expand the Exeter-based ChildLine service, the free helpline which receives calls from children from across the South West including Bath and West Wiltshire.

Dragon's Den judge Deborah Meaden recently launched the appeal to raise £1.6 million in the South West to expand the number of volunteer counsellors. It costs £1,600 to train a volunteer counsellor.

Donna added: "Last year Exeter ChildLine base answered around 3,000 calls from children in distress or danger. Each call costs £4 to answer and currently only two out of every three callers are able to get through. We want to be able to change that so that every child's cry for help is answered."

Anyone interested in taking part in the HACK can visit http://www.canuhackit.co.uk">www.canuhackit.co.uk for a registration form, or call the NSPCC south west appeals team on 01823 346346, or email [email protected]">[email protected] .

The registration fee is £15 (non-refundable) and includes a Can U Hack it? t-shirt that walkers will receive on the day.
