A BREAK-IN occurred at Sandford Cricket Club during the night of Friday, August 17 or early hours of Saturday, August 18.

Taking to social media, on “Twitter” the club announced: “Essential grounds machinery and equipment was stolen and some damage to the building.

“They have also stolen two BBQ’s.

“The incident has been reported to the police.

“If anyone has any information, please contact the club ASAP.

“All local cricket, rugby, football, bowls clubs please be vigilant.”

During the break-in two 50 litre kegs of Sandford Orchards “Devon Mist” cider were taken.

It has also been reported that an attempted break-in was made at Crediton United AFC clubhouse at Lords Meadow during the past week.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward or contact the police using the 101 number.
